Over the past few months, I’ve been toying with an offer concept.
I’m still thinking about its feasibility and I’m not really sure if it has been done before, but it’s an idea that marries three distinct trends:
- Crafting an offer so irresistible that it’s almost impossible to say no to (inspired by Alex Hormozi’s philosophy)
- Avoiding a membership model
- Prioritizing transactional products over subscriptions
The idea is simple.
Introducing: The Golden-Ticket Access Pass
Imagine paying a one-time fee and receiving:
- Free access to all previous creations
- Free access to all future creations
Essentially, this golden ticket would entitle its holder to every piece of content (be it books, courses, digital products, etc.) that the creator has ever produced and will produce.
It’s like making a lifetime investment in the creator.
The primary focus would be on informational products (not services or software), ensuring the creator incurs minimal costs.
Advantages for the Buyer
- Instant access to a comprehensive collection of past work (immediate gratification)
- A one-off payment ensures lifelong access, eliminating recurring fees (no monthly or yearly fees)
- Automatic and early access to future content, ensuring they never miss out (no FOMO)
- A continually growing library, enhancing the buyer’s value over time
Perks for the Creator
- Freedom from the pressures of regular community engagement or scheduled content releases.
- An immediate cash influx.
- Minimal costs, as the offer is restricted to digital informational products.
- A dedicated group of ardent fans eager to promote the creator’s work.
Thoughts on Pricing & Marketing
- The golden ticket should be priced at or below the combined current market value of all previous works, making it incredibly tempting
- Position the offer as a time-sensitive deal, with the price set to increase as more products are added
- A 60-day money-back guarantee could be offered, with new product releases around the 25-day and 45-day marks to amplify perceived value and minimize refunds
- [Optional] As an added incentive, the first five buyers could be offered a personal 30-minute consultation session
I’ve been contemplating implementing this strategy for my collection of management books and courses, especially since I intend to keep producing content in this domain. But I’m not sure if I’ll go for it.
